Todays guest is Beckie Stewart. Beckie is a renowned spoken word Artist and writer in the Barcelona performance scene having been published as well as winning multiple competitions.  
She is also a Childrens Yoga Teacher, a Swedish Masseuse and an outspoken critic of Capitalism. Her performances are often intense, gritty and captivating and with an emotional punch.  
She is also part what may be the only Irish Brazilian Post Punk Spoken Word Band in the world called Elefant Woder. 
Today we talk about: The Apocalypse, performance and narcissism, friendship, addiction, partying and life as a recovering nihilist.

#9 - Refugee Crisis, PTSD, Asylum Seeking and Samos Volunteers with Jasmine Doust

Todays guest is Jasmine Doust. Jasmine is Deputy Editor of Free Movement - a blog providing immigration asylum law updates and training - as well as a Non-Practising Solicitor with a Masters degree in Public International Law and Human Rights.
She is a founding member of Samos Volunteers, a non-governmental organisation providing psychosocial support to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece. She also serves as an adviser to a UK based refugee charity.
Jasmine has spent a lot of time working with refugees in Samos, fighting for better living conditions and a quicker route towards asylum.
Today we talk about the refugee crisis, humanitarian work, police brutality, Samos Volunteers and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

When he´s not nose deep in Physics papers Arnoldo is an avid climber and explorer with a passion for mountains. He is also a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu.

sophia is a forensic psychologist by training, a spoken word poet by choice, and an olive farmer for fun.
She has always been fascinated in understanding the human mind and specialised on the topic of aggression prevention during her studies and prior work.
She left her job in academic teaching to delve deeper into her passion for creative writing and performing as well as community-living.
Now her work is especially informed by humanistic and holistic psychology as well as mindfulness and compassion practices.
As she identifies as pansexual and polyamorous, much of her work also relates to aspects of queerness, sexuality, and love.
sophia was born and raised in Germany but lived abroad in the Netherlands, UK, Italy, Australia and currently calls her ‘home’ to be Catalonia, Spain.

Rosana Corbacho is a clinical and humanistic psychologist who specialises in mental health support for the music industry. She tours with DJ´s and Musicians to offer Psychological support. Her passion for this led her to found M.I. Therapy. 
Her practice focuses on treating addiction, anxiety, depression and other disorders as well as personal development for both music creatives and other people in the music industry.
Rosana has been invited to talk and hold workshops at Berklee University, Primavera Sound, Mutek, ADE, and BIME to name a few. She leads group therapy sessions for Spotify Equal and collaborates with high tier UK and US Tour Managers at The Back Lounge Music Touring and Events Group.
She has received the Keychange Inspiration Award by Amazon Music at Bime Bilbao 2022.
Rosana is a human radiating with compassion and kindness.

Daniel left his life in the UK with a yearning to escape mundanity and search for new opportunities. On a very limited budget, he cycled to Greece for the Olympics and became used to sleeping outdoors.
He then spent 4 years living on the streets in Paris where he pursued artistic dreams and hustled for survival.

Makis Moulos (Greece,1980), is a trilingual writer, poet and a spoken word artist. He uses his confident style to explore themes such as sexuality, stigmas and gender.
He has published 4 personal poetry anthologies and collaborated in various short stories and poetry books in Greece, Germany and the US.
Makis is the organizer and founder of English poetry slam competition in Barcelona and the Greek poetry slam. He is also the organizer of the annual festival “Duende Sessions” in Barcelona.
The last 4 years he has been experimenting with adding live music in his performances and spoken word collaborations and he has created the band "True Love W8s".
He is the secretary of the new World Poetry Slam Organization and he was one of the main organizers of the European Poetry Slam Championship 2021 and director of World Poetry Slam Championship 2022 in Brussels.
